The "Oriente Italiano" dinnerware by Richard Ginori is the work of the Milanese designer and star architect Gio Ponti. From 1923 onwards he was the mastermind and creator behind many of the successful collections produced by the traditional Italian brand Richard Ginori. A stylised carnation is the decorative centrepiece of the magnificent "Oriente Italiano" porcelain set. In this elaborate decoration, the various colours really blend together ? producing a similar effect to that achieved when using an air-brush technique.
Even today each individual item in Richard Ginori?s "Oriente Italiano" series is produced by hand by true master craftsmen at the company?s Italian manufactory. At the end of the production process there is a strict quality check to ensure that every product that leaves the Richard Ginori factory in Italy is in perfect condition.
